It's been a busy week in the For Goodness Cake! kitchen, our creations this week have mainly been around Mothers Day (which is THIS Sunday incase you've been stuck inside with no TV or Radio for the last week!) It seems lots of you lovely people are taking this opportunity to thank Mum for being great!
We have also been working on something a little different this week - a Photo cake, with the picture being a WWII Spitfire Plane. I like these types of cakes as they have a great impact and the client can use personal family photos, or we can use a stock image. We did one of these cakes recently where a Son had placed the order for his Mum's surprise 60th Birthday.... the photo he chose was of her dancing on a table after a few glasses of fizz! I never did find out what her reaction was to the cake!!!!
It's also going to be a busy time for our web designer as he is helping us to update the website http://www.forgoodnesscake.co.uk/ , and to design some new marketing literature for us. We have recently had some wonderful new photographs taken by Sara at Miss Emanuel Photography http://www.missemanuel.com/ so we will soon be publishing them on the website, and using them for our new flyers.
And as if all of that wasn't enough, For Goodness Cake! have joined the community on Not on the High Street!... incase you are not familiar with the website, click on over to http://www.notonthehightstreet.com/ We guarantee it will soon be on your favourites bar, is the first place we go now if we are looking for quirky, unique gifts. As its a website that we love, we are super-happy to be joining them, we hope to be live within the next few weeks and are proud that it will be another outlet for you to buy our delicious cupcakes!
Next week we'll be turning our attention to Easter and the Royal Wedding....we are designing some gorgeous bespoke cupcakes, complete with golden crowns, to help you celebrate the forthcoming Wedding.... watch this space!
